Abstract

The present work was carried out at the Experimental Station Choquenaira, located in the North highland in La Paz-Bolivia. The genetic material used was the soft grass Nasella sp., Native grass that usually grows on the slopes of the hills of the area. As a complement to the water deficit of the highland, complementary irrigation applied by the sprinkler irrigation method was used to determine the water balance with the CROPWAT program. Each experimental unit had 12 plants of which 6 plants were cut. At the same time, the sprinkler irrigation system was installed. The experimental design was a factorial arrangement with two factors: cutting effect (with cut and without cut) and different levels of bovine biol (control, 15%, 50%, 70% and 100%). The response variables were: plant height, number of inflorescences, dry matter, seed yield. In seed yield, significant differences were found in the factors of bovine biol levels. The highest yield was 29,007 g m-2 for the treatment of 50% (3.5 liters of biol + 3.5 liters of water) with the effect without cut against the control. The variable that influenced seed yield was the number of inflorescences.
